I try to ride as much as a I can on the weekends. I wish I could ride the 12 miles to work sometimes but I have a allergy to getting run over.
When I go to Portland I’m always amazed at how integrated bike riding is to their urban planning. I hope LA gets closer to that sooner rather than later. It is basically a city built to be biked in. (Flat, never rains)
And yes Critical Mass probably does more harm than good so fuck those guys.

The more bikes on the road, the shorter your commute to work just got. This is why bike lanes are important.
On that note LA county just released it’s 2011 Final Bicycle Master Plan.

I very much look forward to the day we finally run out of oil and L.A.’s freeways are filled with bikes. But the transitional period is going to be traffic-clogged and miserable.
And Critical Mass rides are still assholes.
